Construction at Macon’s Frank Johnson Community Center is expected to begin next week and will include a new entrance, offices, a computer lab and restrooms.
A groundbreaking ceremony Thursday morning at the center at 2227 Mercer University Drive marked the start of a facelift there. The $933,000 in upgrades to the center are part of the improvements called for in the 2012 special purpose local options sales tax agreement.
